A MISSING five-year-old girl, who disappeared from her home, has tragically died in the hospital after being found in a canal.
Police were alerted that the child was missing from her residence in Wharf Road, Islington, London, at around 4.15 pm on February 17.
Approximately ten minutes later, the girl was discovered in the nearby Regent’s Canal. Officers and members of the public rescued her from the water and performed CPR before rushing her to the hospital.
Unfortunately, the girl passed away around 7 pm, the force reported. While enquiries are ongoing, the police are not treating the circumstances as suspicious.
