EX-Machester United midfielder Paul Pogba has received a four-year football ban. Pogba, aged 30, was found to have tested positive for the prohibited substance DHEA, a natural enhancer of testosterone production, in August.
The midfielder has been absent from Juventus since September, following a provisional suspension for the mentioned violation.
As per the information from Italian outlet La Repubblica, the prosecution was unconvinced by the Frenchman’s explanation of accidental consumption.
Consequently, the Anti-Doping Prosecutor’s Office has opted to impose a four-year suspension on Pogba, believed to be the maximum penalty.
